The Right to Protect Your Property

During my weekends I go to a friends house and we like to discuss interesting topics. The topic we totally had a huge debate on was the right to shoot whoever enters your property. The debate got pretty interesting because one of my friends and I had the same opinion.

My other said he would shoot the person who enters his house because he is stealing the TV. My friend and I would not shoot the person especially if we do not know he or she side of the story. Why if she or he was involved in a crime or a young teenager.

You should not shoot if they steal the TV but the person who does probably has the right to protect their property and family. Even if they steal the TV or a cell phone in my opinion it does it matter if they steal something of mine and no one could replace me or who ever is part of my life.

Shooting someone means you are taking that persons life. With killing someone's life will mean that person will have no future and could have change with help from a friend or someone who could help out solve the issue that would have help from going to another place to rob a house.

  1. Did you take the conversation further? WHat if you didn't know for sure what an intruder intended to do?
